CMAC’s Mission and Community Impact

The Community Military Appreciation Committee (CMAC) is dedicated to honoring, supporting, and celebrating veterans, active-duty military personnel, first responders, Gold Star families, and their loved ones throughout Southwest Washington.

CMAC brings together veterans’ organizations, businesses, civic leaders, community partners, and volunteers to recognize service and sacrifice while strengthening the connection between those who serve and the community they protect.

Throughout the year, CMAC organizes meaningful public ceremonies and community events, including Memorial Day, 9/11 Patriot Day, POW/MIA Recognition Day, Veterans Day, and Our Community Salutes, which honors local high school seniors who have chosen to enter military service.

Through these events and partnerships, CMAC preserves the legacy of service, promotes patriotism, educates future generations, and ensures that our veterans, military personnel, first responders, and their families know that their sacrifices are remembered and appreciated.
