 PFLAG Vancouver is a dedicated chapter of the nation's first organization committed to supporting, educating, and advocating for 2SLGBTQIA+ people, their families, and allies.

 Serving the greater Vancouver, Washington area, we work to build a safe, inclusive, and affirming community by promoting understanding and challenging discrimination. Because every day across our country, 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals and families face challenges no one should have to face alone:

• Bans on gender-affirming health care
• Transgender military ban
• Shutdown of the national suicide prevention hotline
• Bans on trans girls’ participation in girls’ sports
• High rates of discrimination, homelessness, joblessness, poverty, suicide, and violence against LGBTQ+ youth and adults, especially those who are trans or people of color.

Here at PFLAG Vancouver, we don’t just care about the 2SLGBTQIA+ community—we show up:

• At AKIN Triple Point Youth Program
• Support for QYRC Queer Prom and Monster Ball for youth
• At school board, library board, and city council meetings
• At monthly support meetings, public gatherings, and legislative days
• Through letters to editors, educational materials, and personal contacts
• At schools, educating staff on the needs of LGBTQ+ students
• At public events, where we educate the public, dispel misinformation, and promote understanding and acceptance of people of all genders and sexual orientations.

Today, we invite you to make a donation to PFLAG Vancouver. Every cent of your contribution will go towards supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ idividuals, families, and allies in Southwest Washington through: 

• Supporting queer youth events and support groups in Clark County, Washington
• Free peer support for individuals and families
• Free identity flags, pronoun pins and much, much more for 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals and allies
• Free educational resources for parents, family members, and allies
• Support for school GSAs through snacks and craft materials in addition to anti-bullying literature
• Community outreach at events such as Saturday in the Park, Pride Block Party, Camas Pride, Ridgefield Multi-Cultural Fair, LCRG Resource Fair, EPS Pride Clothing Swap, La Center Rainbow Walk, etc.
• Advocacy for a safer, more inclusive community for people of all ages, genders, and sexual orientation.
