I have a personal connection to Bridge the Gap as I was almost 4 when I was removed from my home. This is why I'm so passionate about what we do!  That one moment when the police arrive along with the social workers is so traumatic and life altering. The fear that sets in at that moment, no matter how kind anyone is, is completely overwhelming. I don't remember much, but I remember crying so much I threw up and I remember the years afterwards wondering why my mom didn't love me. After all, if she had, she would be there, caring for us and loving us every day.
