Every school day, over 320 high school teachers in Washington wake up to teach 16,500 (and counting) DECA student members to aspire higher, become leaders, and prepare to thrive in the global economy. Area 9 DECA consists of 15 local high school chapters across Clark, Cowlitz & Skamania counties.

Through active membership, students embrace four key DECA Values: Innovation, Teamwork, Competency, and Integrity. These values are practiced and lived out in over 50 business-based competitions, scholarships, conferences, campaigns, initiatives, school-based enterprises and recognition opportunities for students.

WE’RE ON A MISSION

DECA is on a mission to prepare emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. Your donation provides opportunities for students to compete on a district, state and national level.  Each year we host the Area competition for 900 students & 150 volunteer judges at the Clark County Event Center to help students discover their strengths and network opportunities.

OUR VISION

Our vision is to prepare innovative leaders and entrepreneurs who make a positive social and global impact.

We hope to help as many local students as possible to attend Area and then advance on to State & International Competitions.
