Because every child deserves a first.

Bridge the Gap (BTG) is a 100% volunteer-powered nonprofit showing up for children in foster care since 1999. Founded by a compassionate social worker and a concerned community member, BTG provides critical support and experiences for youth who often enter the system with nothing but the clothes on their backs.

At BTG, we believe every child deserves the chance to experience “firsts”:

  • Their first music class or art lesson

  • Their first summer camp memory

  • Their first team jersey

  • Their first well-fitting pair of new shoes

From orthodontics and therapy to graduation fees and backpacks, BTG helps fill the gaps the system simply doesn’t cover. We even deliver new clothing directly to DCYF for youth who arrive with nothing.

And we do all this without government funding—every dollar comes from people like you.

 Why Give More 24! Matters

Give More 24! is your chance to stand with children in foster care and ensure they feel seen, supported, and celebrated. Every dollar you give stays local and goes directly to youth in need, covering essentials, lifting spirits, and restoring dignity.

Together, we can give kids more than just a place to stay—we can give them a real chance to grow.

Make a gift on September 25. Be the reason a child feels hope.
