Since 1946, we've been the reason local nonprofits don't have to fight alone for funding. Community leaders founded the Camas-Washougal Community Chest that year to coordinate fundraising for local nonprofits — and 80 years later, we're still doing exactly that.
We run entirely on volunteer power. Our Board of Directors donates its time, we carry zero paid staff, and that means over 97% of every dollar you give goes straight back into this community — not overhead.
In the last five years, that's added up to $676,861 in grants to 59 nonprofits serving Camas and Washougal, funding education, youth activities, health and welfare, conservation, crisis services, and more.
