For 10 years, the Children's Discovery Museum in Kelso has been a hidden gem in our community, a place where children and families can explore, create, discover, and learn together at no cost. As one of the few free educational play spaces in our area, we welcome families from across Southwest Washington and beyond, ensuring that every child of all ages has access to meaningful hands-on learning experiences regardless of financial circumstances.

Today, we are inviting our community to help us grow.

What began as a small children's museum has grown into a community resource serving families throughout Cowlitz County. Today, we are welcoming more families than ever before.

During the first six months of 2026, the Children's Discovery Museum welcomed more than 35% more visitors than during the same period in 2025. We saw a 51% increase in new visitors discovering the museum for the first time, while returning visitors increased by 29%. More families are discovering us, and more families are choosing to come back, showing that the Children's Discovery Museum is becoming an increasingly important resource for our community.

We are growing. And we want to make sure we can continue growing with our community.
