A Legacy of Stories

For more than 60 years, the Clark County Historical Museum has been gathering, saving, and sharing the stories that make our community unique. From a collection of over 100,000 artifacts, photographs, oral histories, and one of the region’s largest digital archives to award-winning exhibits, walking tours, and school programs, we bring history to life in ways that inspire, educate, and connect. None of this would be possible without the dedicated volunteers, talented staff, committed board members, generous partners, and engaged community who give their time, energy, and resources to this important work. Together, they ensure that the museum continues to serve Clark County as a vibrant hub where history informs our present and shapes our future.

Where the Past Meets the Present and Shapes Our Future

But our mission goes far beyond preserving the past. At CCHM, we believe history is alive—it shapes our choices, our neighborhoods, and our future every single day. That’s why we host community events, facilitate storytelling, and create spaces where neighbors can come together to share, learn, and build connections. Through talks, tours, events, exhibits, and more, we don’t just tell history—we make history together with the community we serve.

Together, We Make History

Your support makes this possible. Over 85% of our annual budget comes from contributions by people like you; neighbors, families, and friends who understand the value of preserving and creating a shared heritage. Every gift, no matter the size, helps keep our community’s story alive for generations to come.
