Living Well Shouldn't Be a Privilege

What started seven years ago as a small, for-profit yoga studio on NE Birch Street in downtown Camas has grown into a robust, community-driven organization. In 2024, we transitioned to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit — because the work we were doing had become bigger than just a yoga studio, and it belongs to the whole community.

Today, LiveWell Camas serves Camas and the surrounding area through movement classes, food access, youth leadership, and LGBTQ+ community programming, all grounded in one belief: living well shouldn't be a privilege.

This year, our Give More 24! focus is for our Youth Council.

Just this month, our Youth Council opened the doors to a year long project. The LiveWell Camas Third Space — a place for young people to be entirely themselves and access the resources they may need. Throughout the year, our Youth Council organizes their own fundraising efforts to cover art supplies, mutual aid supplies, and keeping the Camas Free Pantry stocked — real, hands-on work for their community. Rent is covered through the end of this year thanks to a grant, but we want to give them something bigger than a few months of security: a full year of certainty.

Our goal: $7,500

• $4,800 covers the Third Space's entire 2027 rent, at $400/month, so the Youth Council can spend the whole year focused on their program, not their overhead
• $2,700 feeds our scholarship fund, offering free classes to community members who need them — enough to fund 108 free classes.

Every dollar raised past our rent goal goes directly to scholarships. That means every gift either powers a full year of the Third Space or opens a door for a neighbor who couldn't otherwise walk through it.

Our Programs

Beyond Youth Council, LiveWell Camas runs three other core programs:

• The Studio — yoga, dance, pilates, and fitness classes for every body and budget
• The Pantry — free produce pickups and food pantry support for families across our community
• Camas Pride / Queer All Year — year-round LGBTQ+ programming, including our Literally Queer Book Club, Queer Support Circle, Drag Bingo with Rouge Apostles, and our annual Camas Pride block party

We're a 501(c)(3) nonprofit built and run by neighbors, for neighbors — currently in a season of real growth, rebuilding our board and working toward hiring our first part-time studio manager so we can keep showing up the way this community deserves.

Your gift today keeps the Third Space open for a full year. It funds a free class for someone who needs one. It tells the young people of Camas that this community shows up for them.
