Bridging the Gap to Graduation and Beyond

The Finish Line Scholarship provides a final source of support for LCC students who have exhausted other available financial resources and need help taking the last step toward completing their education or entering the workforce. For some students, that may mean covering their final 5, 10, or 15 credits needed to graduate. For others, it may mean helping with the cost of a required licensing, certification, or workforce exam needed to begin their career.

These final expenses can look different depending on a student’s career path, from nursing and healthcare licensing exams to WABO welding tests, AIR program certifications, education-related testing, and other required professional credentials. By helping close these final financial gaps, the Finish Line Scholarship ensures that one last barrier does not stand between a student and the future they have worked so hard to achieve.

Established in 1934, Lower Columbia College was founded during the Great Depression by community leaders seeking a better future for high school graduates. Today, LCC is a comprehensive community and technical college offering 70+ programs and serving over 4,000 students each year. Recognized for its excellence in nursing, workforce training, academic preparation, and athletics, the college serves as the educational center for the entire Lower Columbia Region. LCC Foundation works to improve and elevate opportunities for our students and our region.
