DOUBLE YOUR IMPACT
CELEBRATING 20 YEARS OF SERVING CLARK COUNTY
Twenty years ago, Meals on Wheels People expanded into Clark County with a simple promise: No older adult should have to choose between food, health, or human connection.
Since then, our neighbors have built something remarkable together. Volunteers have delivered millions of nutritious meals. Donors have helped older adults remain healthy and independent. Community partners have made Clark County a place where older adults can age with dignity.
Today, that work continues — one meal, one visit, one neighbor at a time.
MAKE YOUR GIVE MORE 24! GIFT
YOUR COMMUNITY. YOUR IMPACT.
Last year, together we:
- Delivered 215,551 nutritious meals
- Served 2,503 older adults
- Engaged 272 volunteers who contributed 19,085 hours of service
- Provided friendly visits and regular check-ins that help reduce loneliness and support independence
Every meal is more than food. It's reassurance that someone cares.
INNOVATION BEGINS HERE
Clark County has helped shape some of our most innovative programs.
PET PROGRAM
For many older adults, a pet is family. Our Pet Program — created right here in Clark County — helps seniors care for the animals who provide comfort, companionship, and purpose so they never have to choose between feeding themselves or their best friend.
DINERS CLUB
Also launched in Clark County, the Diners Club gives older adults the freedom to enjoy meals at participating local restaurants with family and friends. It expands choice, encourages social connection, and helps people stay engaged in their communities.
THE DINER VANCOUVER
The Diner Vancouver is more than a neighborhood restaurant. Every meal purchased and every donated tip helps support Meals on Wheels People programs throughout Clark County, making it easy for the community to give back while gathering around great food.
LARRY'S STORY
Life hasn’t been easy for Larry, but his service dog, Mojo, has been his constant companion.
When the cost of Mojo's allergy treatments climbed to nearly $400 a month, Larry stretched his limited income as far as he could. Then his own health took a turn.
“I ended up in the hospital for malnutrition,” Larry says. “I just didn’t have food.”
A longtime Vancouver resident, Larry lives with the lasting effects of kidney cancer and degenerative bone disease. Through Meals on Wheels People, he began receiving nutritious meals delivered to his home along with something just as important: regular visits from caring volunteers.
“There’s a lot more to it than just the meals,” Larry says.
Meals on Wheels People also connected Larry with our Pet Program, helping him access resources for Mojo's allergy treatments. "Now it's under control," Larry says.
With reliable meals, support for Mojo, and friendly faces at his door, some of the weight has been lifted.
"It's very stressful when you're struggling with your health and your pet's health," Larry says. "That's a lot of weight off my shoulders. They've done so much for me and my pet. It's meant a lot to me emotionally."
Today, Larry and Mojo continue taking life one day — and one walk — at a time, knowing they don't have to face it alone.
Your Give More 24! gift helps more neighbors like Larry receive the meals, companionship, and support they need to remain independent.
