Changing Lives Through Sport – 18 Years Strong
Since launching in Washington in 2007, the Northwest Association for Blind Athletes (NWABA) has been breaking barriers and transforming the lives of children, youth, and adults who are blind or visually impaired. What began as a small effort in our community has grown into a powerful movement spanning all of Washington—igniting confidence, building lifelong connections, and opening doors to independence through the life-changing power of sports and movement.
For 18 years, we've been more than a sports organization—we've been a catalyst for achieving big dreams.
Being blind or visually impaired comes with challenges, but at NWABA, we believe those challenges shouldn't limit what's possible. Through our tailored programs, we empower athletes to redefine their potential, crush limitations, and thrive—in sports and in life.
When someone joins NWABA, they gain more than access to adaptive sports—they gain confidence, community, and the tools to chase their dreams.
