Ridgefield Multicultural Initiative

The Ridgefield Multicultural Initiative is a 501c3 nonprofit organization in Ridgefield, WA whose mission is to celebrate culture, educate, and create intentional space for belonging in our community by organizing events and an annual festival. 

In 2026, we have been focusing on community education through our pop-up history museum- Meeting History: Ridgefield’s Told and Untold Stories (Aug 22-Sept 5 at the Greely Building in downtown Ridgefield). The journey to discovering our area’s history has helped us to become more rooted in our community, and given us a greater understanding of the challenges we face. It has strengthened our resolve to continue our work and create a sustainable foundation of leadership. We have found that people are looking for events that help them to feel connected to other people and the community, no matter their background, and we are seeking funds to continue to strengthen our operational structure so that we can provide these opportunities, and support others who are doing this work.
