When potential meets purpose, transformation happens.

Founded by Curtis and Debora Kimbrough, who collectively have over 70+ years of nonprofit experience, Unity Center a model founded in neuroscience leveraging the power of love + potential to help our community’s youth break intergenerational cycles and find the resources to thrive.

Serving Clark County since 2012, the mission at Unity Center is to build healthy and resilient communities by working collaboratively with families to solve the problems facing our most vulnerable youth. Our purpose is to serve those in our communities that are facing the greatest barriers with the fewest protective factors. We do this by providing our youth with tools and resources through mentorship that leads to resiliency, the creation of social capital, and self-sufficiency.

Unity Center empowers youth and families through mentoring, emotional regulation training, career and college readiness, outdoor and seasonal camps, and an afterschool program that teaches life skills through sports. Our programs provide mentorship, unique opportunities, and wraparound support that help youth break barriers and grow into community leaders.

Our programs include:

  • Mentorship Programming: Kids in Search of Success (K.I.S.S.): provides one-on-one mentorship, leadership training, and personal development to ensure youth gain the confidence and skills needed for success.
  • Camps & Outdoor Access: Spring, Summer, and Winter Camps offer youth outdoor experiences they might not otherwise have, including hiking, canoeing, fishing, horseback riding, and leadership retreats, fostering resilience, teamwork, and a connection to nature.
  • Afterschool Programming: Shoot for Hope used the power of sport with the power of mentorship and mental wellness to help our youth map their future.
  • Mental Health and Wellness: We provide wraparound services that embed youth in a support system addressing mental health, education, mentorship, and career readiness. EmpowerED Youth offers one-on-one therapy, peer-to-peer emotional resilience workshops, and family engagement sessions.
  • Career & College Readiness (CCB): College Careers & Beyond bridges the gap between education and real-world success with career training, financial literacy, college prep, and entrepreneurial coaching.
