Support the Vancouver Bee Project – Connecting People Through Science

The Vancouver Bee Project is a community-based nonprofit advancing pollinator conservation by connecting people with science, education, and habitat to create healthier ecosystems for pollinators and people.

We envision a Southwest Washington where pollinators thrive, science informs stewardship, and every neighborhood contributes to healthy, connected ecosystems. Through community science, educational programs, public events, and native plant and habitat resources, we give people the knowledge, tools, and inspiration to make a difference in their own yards, schools, neighborhoods, and communities.

Our work is built around three pillars:

Science – We believe conservation is strongest when guided by science. We support research, community science, and evidence-based decision making to better understand and protect pollinators.

Education – We believe knowledge inspires action. We make pollinator science accessible, engaging, and relevant so people of all ages can participate in conservation.

Habitat – We believe healthy communities begin with healthy habitat. We connect people with science, resources, and inspiration, empowering them to create sustainable native habitat where pollinators and people can thrive together.

Throughout the year, Vancouver Bee Project brings these ideas to life through school programs, community science, bee walks, workshops, Pollinators & Pints, the Native Plant & Seed Library, Grow Native Vancouver, Bee City USA, and the annual Vancouver Pollinator Festival. Together, these programs reach thousands of people and create opportunities for everyone—from experienced naturalists to families discovering native bees for the first time—to participate in pollinator conservation.
