Hope & Healing for Children and Families

National Women's Coalition Against Violence & Exploitation (NWCAVE) is proud to once again partner with Rocking B Farms in Ridgefield, Washington, bringing joy, comfort, and meaningful moments of healing to the children and families we serve. Many have endured unimaginable trauma, including abuse, sexual assault, gun violence, and, in some cases, the loss of a parent.

This September, during #GiveMore24  NWCAVE will raise funds to provide children and survivors with 
summer camps, survivor retreats, trauma-informed activities, and animal-assisted experiences at Rocking B Farms throughout the coming year.

Rocking B Farms is a nonprofit farm sanctuary that has rescued more than 600 animals—from goats and pigs needing new homes to cows displaced when farmland was developed. Through its partnership with NWCAVE, the farm has also become a place where children and survivors can step away from grief, court proceedings, and crisis and experience safety, connection, and joy.

“NWCAVE is an anti-violence nonprofit serving crime victims, survivors, and families of missing and murdered children. We first partnered with Rocking B Farms for a survivor retreat. This year, 12 children of our clients attended summer camp at no cost to their families. Now, we hope to reach even more children and families in the coming year,” said Michelle Bart, Founder and President of NWCAVE.

"Some of the greatest healing happens in the quiet moments—holding a baby goat, brushing a horse, or simply knowing you’re safe. It is a privilege for Rocking B Farms to provide that space for the incredible children and families served by NWCAVE," said Amy Kimmons Founder and Executive Director of Rocking B Farms.
