For Sean and Alyson Janson, supporting the Parks Foundation of Clark County is personal.
Sean and Alyson are the owners of Jantzen Fuel Depot, a small, family-owned marine fuel dock on the Columbia River. But Sean’s connection to the fuel dock—and to outdoor recreation—goes back much further than owning the business.
Sean actually worked at this very fuel dock as a kid. Growing up in Southwest Washington, much of his life has revolved around being outside. From soccer fields and neighborhood parks to trails, rivers, boating, and everything in between, outdoor recreation has always been an important part of his life.
Decades later, Sean and Alyson had the opportunity to take over Jantzen Fuel Depot and turn a place that was part of Sean’s childhood into their own family business. Today, the dock is once again a family affair, with their kids spending time working there and experiencing many of the same lessons Sean learned growing up.
That connection to the outdoors is also what led Sean to his work with the Parks Foundation of Clark County.
Parks are more than playgrounds and ballfields. They are places where kids discover something they love, families spend time together, neighbors connect, people stay active, and lifelong memories are made. Access to parks, trails, recreation, and the outdoors helps make Clark County such a special place to call home.
That’s why Jantzen Fuel Depot is participating in Give More 24!
We’ve set a goal of raising $500 for the Parks Foundation of Clark County, and we’d love your help getting there.
Your donation supports the Parks Foundation’s work to expand access to parks and recreation throughout Clark County—from playgrounds and trails to recreation programs, youth opportunities, scholarships, and projects that help more people experience the outdoors.
Even better, Give More 24 provides an opportunity to make those dollars go further as the Parks Foundation works to maximize a $10,000 matching gift from the Firstenburg Foundation.
For the Janson family, this campaign represents something simple: we want the next generation to have the same opportunities to get outside, play, explore, compete, connect, and create memories that we have been fortunate enough to enjoy throughout our lives.
Whether your favorite outdoor experience happens on a soccer field, playground, trail, river, basketball court, picnic table, or neighborhood park, we hope you’ll join us in supporting these spaces and opportunities for our community.
