Team 24: Angela

I'm a Medical Assistant and Case Manager with 5 years of experience in end-of-life, mental health, and dementia care. I earned my CNA certification from Mary’s CNA School in Woodland and her CMA from Charter College. I have worked in mental health clinics and assisted living facilities, providing compassionate care to patients in underserved communities. Growing up in a Mexican household, I witnessed the challenges people in my community can face and the ways families and neighbors support each other. I have always wanted to help people, and through my work in the medical field, I have found communities that I have grown close to and continues to support. I'm passionate about serving the mental health and LGBTQ communities, as well as elderly, low-income, and dementia/Alzheimer’s patients. I strive to create welcoming, inclusive spaces where patients feel cared for, heard, and empowered, and I'm committed to building relationships that strengthen the communities I serve.
