This year, Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Washington lost key grant funding that previously helped fund a full-time Behavioral Support Specialist, provide trauma-informed training for staff, and run small-group programs that help kids manage emotions, build friendships, and develop resilience. Our $75,000 Give More 24 goal will keep these supports alive.
One member from our Burton Elementary Club, Aaliyah, shows why this matters. When she first joined as a 1st grader, she struggled with confidence, friendships, and regulating her emotions. Through consistent care and guidance at Club, she’s now stepping into middle school more confident, stable, and ready to thrive.
Without these supports, kids like Aaliyah risk falling behind emotionally and socially. With them, they gain the tools to grow into confident leaders, caring friends, and resilient community members.
Your gift today helps us build bridges of opportunity—ensuring mental health support remains for every Club member who needs it.
